Cute little place. We had a tasty chicken fried steak and breaky sammy that was stacked high with ham cheese eggs. Old school place with super nice folks working there. Bathrooms were clean too.
We're on a road trip with 3-kids and stopped for a bathroom break. My wife & kids walked in first, asked for the bathrooms, and was directed downstairs. I watered the dog And followed. We met-up and walked upstairs together. A man stood at the top of stairs and asked how many would be dining. We explained that we were making a bathroom stop. He told us about paper towel and septic costs and demanded $2. We thought he was joking. I laughed & pointed out that in fact there were no paper towels in the men's room. He didn't laugh, ignored the irony and demended $2. He wasn't joking. Road trippers with kids unite! Boycott this dive and teach this miserly pinhead a lesson about simple hospitality. Karma alone will cause the septic system to back-up and paper towels to flow like a mountain spring from his dirty toilets!
This place is adorable and the food is good! I ordered a PBJ, tots, and an alcoholic root beer. My husband got the turkey sandwich and fries with a craft beer. The price was reasonable and the waiter was like an uncle to us! Definitely place to go for a piece of Americana and comfort food!
Great service, served by the owner. It's been KJ'S CAFE for about 7 years now. Dang good food had the club sandwich and the John Browns. Both were really good. Looks like average pricing. As a trucker it's awesome to find good food, good service AND a parking spot. Hours could be better but if your in the area and you have a little bit of time is definitely worth it.
Just passing through and thought I'd give em a try, wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised they turned an ordinary hamburger meal into a delicious experience. Fresh and crisp lettuce & tomatoes with thick cut pickles finished off with grilled onions. Even the fries were large cut and fried at just the right temp- crispy outside and meaty inside. I'll definitely stop in again.
